The latest version of the Real Statistics Resource Pack for Mac (Excel 2011) is now available. This is called Release 3.5.3 Beta and contains the following features:
- The capabilities provided in Release 3.5.2 of the software for Windows.
- New bug fixes provided in Release 3.6.1 and 3.6.2.
- The new capabilities in Release 3.6 are not part of this release.
This a beta release of the software. While the statistical algorithms used are identical to those employed in the Windows version of the software and so have had a fair amount of testing, some of the user interface capabilities have been modified for Macintosh and have not received extensive testing, and so you may find some errors.
You should note that some features familiar from the Windows version of the software do not work in the Mac version. In particular, ranges must be inserted manually in Input Range fields (you can’t highlight the range) and I can’t guarantee whether the Fill buttons work.

Comparing the slopes for two independent samples using the SlopesTest(Rx1,Ry1,Rx2,Ry2), the output I get is “0.005691554; 4.33049” and “Formula result=0.005691554”. On the Excel spreadsheet, 0.005691554 appears in the cell into which I entered the SlopesTest formula. Why does my output not look like the output for the SlopesTest workbook example? If s=0.005691554 and t=4.33049, where is the output for df and p?
Tom,
SlopesTest is an array function, and so you need to highlight the range where the entire output will appear and then press Ctrl-Shft-Enter. See Array Formulas and Functions for more information about using array functions.
